It operates through branches in Amherst County, Bedford County, Campbell County, Halifax County, and Pittsylvania County, as well as Charlottesville, Danville, and Lynchburg cities. Pinnacle Bankshares Corporation was founded in 1908 and is headquartered in Altavista, Virginia.
