Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. develops protein-based fibers using recombinant DNA technology for commercial applications in the textile and specialty fiber industries in the United States. The company's primary proprietary fiber technology includes natural and engineered variants of spider silk produced in domesticated mulberry silkworms, as well as uses genetically engineered silkworms that produce spider silk proteins to create its recombinant spider silk.
